J. Cole Disses Hot 97 DJ Mister Cee In ‘Forbidden Fruit’

No one was safe in J. Cole’s praiseworthy sophomore album “Forbidden Fruit.”

The North Carolina native raised eyebrows after raising the subject of Mister Cee’s recent legal troubles in song “Forbidden Fruit,” where Cole raps, “Same bitch giving brains to the minister/ The same reason they call Mister Cee ‘the finisher’/ Forbidden fruit, watch for the Adam’s apple/ Slick with words don’t hate me, son.”

Cole explained the lyric, in question, during an interview with Power 105’s “The Breakfast Club.”

“Mister Cee is a legendary DJ who I actually do respect and I hope he’s not too made about me about that,” Cole explained. “It’s just a clever little… I couldn’t resist. The song is called ‘Forbidden Fruit.’ I couldn’t resist…. it’s the rapper in me. I do respect the hell out of Mister Cee, though.”

Hot 97 on-air talent Mister Cee appeared in an interview at his radio station months ago to address his current legal predicament of being caught soliciting sex from an undercover male police officer.

Mister Cee, whose real name is Calvin LeBrun, told listeners he is a supporter if the LGBT community, but isn’t gay.

“I support the gay community more than anyone knows,” he told listeners.

“People have accused me of being gay for probably ten years now,” said Cee. “I don’t care what people think.”

Mister Cee did, however, admit that he has an addiction to sleeping with prostitutes and strippers.

Mister Cee also said it was an undercover policewoman he caught soliciting.

Roots drummer Quest Love took to Twitter to express his support for the beleaguered radio host.

“Let Cee be. #NoneOfOurBusiness,” he wrote.

Mister Cee, 46, was allegedly caught receiving oral sex from a 20-year-old man in a car in 2011. He pled guilty to loitering for the purpose of engaging in prostitution.
