J. Cole Sold Nearly ‘3 Hunna’ Copies of ‘Born Sinner,’ Lil’ Reese Responds

J. Cole was so pleased with numbers for his album sales he shouted out the Chicago Black Disciple street gang.

“Grateful for everyone that bought the album. Thank you. 3hunna,” he wrote.

Cole sold nearly ‘3hunna’ thousands copies of “Born Sinner” with 296,000 copies, according to MTV News. His debut studio album “Cole World: The Sideline Story” reportedly sold 217,000 in its first week in 2011.

Cole’s Born Sinner sold 296,000 copies, a jump from the first-week sales of his previous album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, which sold 217,000 in its first week when it dropped back in 2011.

GBE member Lil’ Reese tweeted ‘3hunna’ in solitude.

This isn’t the first time Cole referenced the Chi.

In song “Trouble” off sophomore studio album “Born Sinner,” Cole raps, “Met a bad bitch from Chicago, my hat wasn’t cocked, yo, Kept it straight, shit, cause y’all know, And if not, you’ll learn how them niggas in the Chi go.”
