JusGlo is currently mourning the loss of close friend Extendo Quono.

JusGlo and Quono collaborated on song “Blood Gang Sh*t.”

Quono, whose real name is Aquoness Cathery, was shot and killed Wednesday, Dec. 29 Chicago Police at 61st and King Drive in the Washington Park neighborhood on the City’s South Side.

Quono was reportedly armed with a semi-automatic pistol when he was shot. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he died hours later from his injuries. He was 24.

JusGlo expressed his thoughts on the shooting during an interview with Shibuya Tyson.

“I feel bad. S**t f****d up out here. Police killing us – black man. We just tryna make a way out, find a way in any way we can, with selling drugs or this rapping,” JusGlo said. “We keep guns just in case just for our protection cause we know n****s after us. We got opps and s**t. Ain’t no telling who you gon bump in to.”

Police didn’t provide a reason why officers shot Quono, WGN 9 reports. They say do not believe the man fired his weapon.

“At one point the officers fired and shot the offender, who was then taken into custody,” Chicago Deputy Police Chief Kevin Ryan told the Tribune.

An autopsy revealed Quono died of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to a medical examiner report obtained by Fox 32 Chicago.

The Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) is investigating the incident, ABC 7 Chicago reports. The officer will be placed on 30-day leave, which is standard operating procedure.
