King Louie is out of hospital less than week after he was ambushed in South Side Chicago. Louie, born Louis Johnson Jr., was shot multiple times in the Ashburn neighborhood, according to the Chicago Sun Times.

Louie opened up on the shooting incident during an interview with CNN. Louie revealed he was shot a total of seven times and that he has three bullets still lodged in his body, including one in the head.

“I was in my car,” Louie recounted. “I was finna leave my friend house. Somebody start shooting at my car. I think shot 22 shots. I was hit seven times. Three of the slugs are still with me today- two in my chest and one in my head.

When asked by Don Lemon what is going on in Chicago, Louie replied, “The devil is working overtime.”

Louie says there is hope for Chicago despite its gun violence. The Mubu boss says prayer got him through his ordeal.

“I don’t think I would be here today if it wasn’t for prayer,” he said. “I deeply appreciate all the prayers that people made for me. …That kept me strong and got me through my situation.”
