King Yella Remembers Aspiring Filmmaker Timothy Riley aka LoKoVision

King Yella took to social media to honor the memory of aspiring filmmaker Timothy Riley aka LoKoVision.

Timothy Riley, 21, was among three passengers killed in a car accident early Sunday when 22-year-old driver Robert M. Hayes lost control of a 2010 Dodge Avenger and hit a concrete barrier wall after passing a semi-truck on Interstate Highway 80/94 around 3 a.m., according to the Chicago Tribune. Hayes was transported to Methodist Northlake Hospital in Gary, IN with non-life-threatening injuries. Other victims killed in the crash included Shaquita Kendrick, 21, and William Burton, 21. John Paul Misques, 22, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

LoKo filmed Yella’s “Grandma” music video less than a week before he passed.

Riley’s mother Nadine Jackson told ABC 7 Chicago her son was studying video production at the Art Institute of Chicago.

“He wanted to be a star,” she said. “He wanted to do videos like all kids… and he was really good at it. All his friends loved him. They know him as LoKoVison.”

“Always been an A student,” she told NBC Chicago. “Very smart.”
