Kodak Black is a hot boy. The South Florida rapper is back on the grind after he was arrested on a slew of charges Thursday in Hallandale Beach, according to NBC 6 South Florida.
Kodak Black, born Dieuson Octave, 18, was jailed on $5,100 bond after he was accused of leading police on a high-speed chase during a drug transaction, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Kodak posted a photo of himself at the airport onto IG with a caption, reading, “From The Cell, To The Airport! ‘Baby Cause Im A Thug’ Birmingham Tonight #Flies.”
Kodak had a scheduled show in Birmingham, Alabama on Friday for his “Going Up Top” tour, according to his Facebook page.
Kodak was charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, possession of cannabis, fleeing and eluding police at a high speed and disobeying/avoiding traffic devices.
Police observed Kodak and a passenger parked in a black Audio at a building “known for street drug sales.” Police say Kodak handed over a “large bag with a green leafy substance” to two customers in exchange for cash.
Police attempted to block Kodak’s vehicle, but he managed to evade them. Police called off their chase after Kodak began driving more than 60 mph in a 30 mph zone.
Police later caught up with Kodak and saw him pitching a gun in a dumpster. Police searched the dumpster and found a loaded glock 23 .40 caliber pistol and a magazine in the dumpster. Police found 2.5 grams of marijuana in the car.
