Lil Bibby Talks Chief Keef’s ‘White Honkey’ Remark After Getting Dropped From Interscope

News of Interscope Records parting ways with Chicago rap star Chief Keef made news in October 2014. Fellow Chicago rapper Lil Bibby recently sat down with Montreality to offer his thoughts on Chief Keef being released from the giant music label.

“I think he still got a nice following. He can still probably make some money,” Bibby told Montreality. “I don’t know too much to say about that. But I seen something on Twitter. He said some sh-t about ‘white honkies.’ I was like, ‘whoa, man.’ That guy crazy [laughs]. …I’m looking like Chief Keef is out of control.”

Sosa revealed in a text message he was aware of Interscope’s decision a week prior.

“I been dropped for a week now,” he wrote in his text convo.

Nonetheless, the Glo Gang boss made his thoughts on the label’s decision to drop him known in an infamous rant.

Sosa revealed via Twitter that new management led to his release from Interscope. Iovine was replaced by John Janick in May after stepping down from his position as Interscope Geffen A&M chairman and CEO. Iovine and Dre have gone on to assume senior positions at Apple after selling Beats to the technological giant for $3.2 billion.

“When Jimmy n Dre left that’s when I said f-ck Interscope! Big D-ck style. that’s what I signed up for not this new staff! Of WhiteHonkies!” he wrote.

AllHipHop.com cites the “Sorry 4 The Weight” rapper’s legal woes and drug addiction led to his release.
