Lil Durk allegedly put the paws on the opps Thursday morning in court. Social media is buzzing with news Lil Durk was engaged in a brawl.
Lil Durk confirmed an altercation took place, writing, “N*ggas ain’t sh*t without guns me and @kingdthang like Floyd and AB lol.”
“We beat da opp ass at court today lol,” he wrote.
Durk went on to post a meme to IG of someone knocked out with a caption, reading, “This how da opps was at court lol own care bout no rumors his ass was off a Zane or sum lol.”
Others confirmed Durk’s presence in court.
Durk didn’t appear too fazed by the fight and posted footage of himself from early Thursday morning.
It is not known why Lil Durk was in court, but it could possibly be related to his ongoing weapons case.
Lil Durk was arrested in June after police allegedly saw the Def Jam rapper pitching a stolen handgun in the backseat of a parked Hyundai Sonata in the Englewood neighborhood in South Side Chicago, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
He was subsequently hit with a five-count indictment that included unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.
Lil Durk’s most serious gun charge was thrown out in November.
The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office dropped that charge citing a recent Illinois Supreme Court ruling that found parts of the state’s gun law unconstitutional, DNAinfo reports.
The state’s gun law that reportedly was struck down is the “Aggravated Unauthorized Use Of Weapons.” The Supreme Court found that it violates the Second Amendment because it makes it a criminal offense for people to bear arms outside of their home or business, according to DNAinfo.
Durk’s other three counts of possession of a gun by a felon will reportedly be dropped. Two charges left on his plate reportedly include one count of possessing a gun and a second count for being underage when in possession from a previous 2011 weapons case.
