Lil Durk Issues Statement On Cousin OTF NuNu’s Passing

The tragic murder of rising Chicago artist OTF NuNu has sparked much discussion and debate on the senseless killings gripping the city of Chicago.

But the top reaction amongst fans to describe news of NuNu’s passing was simply shock. Lil Durk was absent from social media days following the death of his cousin.

Durk issued a statement Tuesday on his loss. He honored NuNu and thanked all of his fans for their messages of support.

“Nuski gang

“I just turned my phone on and seen all dese text love for the support,” he wrote.

Durk later posted an image of himself with Nuski to his IG account.

“Words can’t explain @official_nuski just like you told me we gotta win……#Nuski,” the caption on the post read.

NuNu was shot multiple times as he was sitting in his vehicle in a parking lot outside of Chatham Village Square mall at Cottage Grove and 87th Streets, according to the Chicago Tribune.

NuNu reportedly attempted to flee his assailant, but ultimately crashed into a nearby store. He died at the scene. He was 21.

NuNu was prepping the release of his debut mixtape “Nuski Got Da Strap” before his untimely death. He recently released the music video for single “OC” with OTF counterpart Lil Durk.
