The City of Baltimore was in complete turmoil following the April 19 death of Freddie Gray, Jr. Gray, 25, died after suffering complications from injuries sustained during his April 12 arrest for allegedly having an illegal switchblade.
Six officers have since been indicted in Gray’s death following social upheaval that took place in Baltimore.
Lil Durk feels the riots were necessary for the City to bring charges to the officers involved in Gray’s death.
“They looking like ‘If we do this, they gone tear the city up. We don’t need that right now,’” Durk told All Hip Hop. “…Cause they know they gon keep f*cking the city up if they don’t see justice.”
