Lil Herb Addresses Freshman 2015 Snub In New Song ‘XXL’

The underground Hip Hop realm had to have to gasped upon not seeing Lil Herb’s name listed in XXL’s Freshman 2015 class. Many ardent fans of the culture felt Herb’s was a clear front-runner for the list.

Rather than sulk about his snub, Herb went and did what he does best- hit the studio. G Herbo linked with DP Beats to issue a perfect song response.

Herb appropriately titled his record “XXL.”

The NLMB spitter opens his record with a sound byte from Durk who slammed XXL’s decision not to include him.

Herb then goes on to state, “Proper preparation prevents poor performance.”

Herb addresses his snub, saying, “I missed that Freshman cover twice like I ain’t a factor (Ha!)/And still your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper/I’m just humble n*gga, can’t let nothing get to me/15, I was broke as f*ck rolling up that swisher sweet.”

Herb makes it clear he doesn’t need the co-sign of a magazine to validate his greatness. Check out Herb’s “XXL” above.
