Lil Herb had a brush with death at a venue he was set to perform at in Gary, IN. G Herbo sat down with 24/7 Hip Hop to speak on a shootout he witnessed.
Herb said he was sitting in the van with his guys when he noticed the event’s promoters running outside the venues.
“First, I see a bunch of n****s and b****s running outside the club, outside the back door,” he said. “Mind you, it’s Indiana, so everybody got guns. It’s legal damn near. The promoters running out with they gun in their hand. Everybody fighting and sh*t. …shots get to going off. I’m from the hood bro, 79th and Essex. Shots is like normal to me. It gotta be like a real situation to catch my attention.”
Herb said there were at least 10 different shooters, including the promoters.
“Bullets was flying from everywhere,” he said.
Herb said the police soon arrived, but were too afraid to do anything.
“As we pulling off, we see n****s laid off in the grass. Shirt off. It was crazy bro.”
Herb said his show cancelled soon after.
