Lil Wayne got fans talking this past weekend after hinting that he signed to Jay Z’s Roc Nation during his performance at the Camp Flog Gnaw festival in Los Angeles’ Exposition Park. Weezy performed his song “I’m Me” and changed the lyric “I’m a mothef*****g Cash Money millionaire” with “I’m a mothef*****g Roc-A-Fella millionaire.”
This deal would be 12 years in the making if this were indeed true. Jay Z attempted to sign Wayne in 2004, but plans never materialized.
Last year, Tunechi sparked rumors of a Roc Nation deal while performing at KMEL Summer Jam in Oakland.
Wayne said, “I just signed a deal with my motherf*****g idol Jay Z.”
Wayne’s management later clarified the Young Money general was referring to his deal with Tidal.
