Mac Miller’s dad, Mark McCormick, addressed a large crowd of fans Saturday, Sept. 7 on his son’s one-year death anniversary at Pittsburgh’s Blue Slide Park.
“So they finally caught the motherf****r that sold him the drugs that killed him,” he told a cheering and somber crowd. “And we find some comfort in that. Many of us were young, including me, experimenting with drugs, but it’s a different f*****g work out there.”
Los Angeles man Cameron James Pettit, 23, was arrested on suspicion of selling the rapper counterfeit oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl.
“All it takes is a stone, a little tiny stone of fentanyl and c—— and you’re dead,” he continued. “Drugs are being laced with fentanyl, all kinds of drugs, and one thing I would say to you is don’t take the risk. It’s just not worth it.”
Miller died in 2018 of an accidental overdose of fentanyl, c—— and alcohol.
