Is Meek Mill looking for revenge? Meek Mill got social media going nuts right now after a snippet of his remix to Drake’s “Summer Sixteen” hit the net. Omelly streamed snippets of the joint while riding through traffic.
Drake debut “Summer Sixteen” on OVO Sound Radio in late January. The Canadian rapper took aim at Meek Mill in this record.
He raps, “I let the diss record drop you were standing right below me, nigga/We must have played it a hundred times, you was going to bed/Why would I put on a vest I expect you to aim for the head?/I coulda killed you the first time/You don’t have to try to say it louder nigga/We could hear you the first time/It’s nothing personal I would have done it to anyone.”
Meek Mill released “War Pain” just 15 minutes after Drake’s “Summer Sixteen” hit the net.
The Philly rapper posted an image of himself onto IG grinning ear to ear with a caption reading, “The ghostwriter told me!”
Meek addressed some lines in Drake’s record, including the Toronto artist claiming to be Jay Z and his diss to Tory Lane, to name a few.
In “War Pain,” Meek Mill raps, “I be with my young n****s, all they know is kill things/Don’t make me make a real screen, uh/See an OVO chain, probably take that sh*t/Said dreaming wasn’t enough, we had to chase that sh*t/You ain’t write it n***a, we caught ya, can’t erase that sh*t/And you claiming you HOV now? Why you state that sh*t?/Man, I hate that sh*t, n****s be talking out they face/But soon as you body something they be singin like Drake/Wait, n****s dancing like they fruitcakes/hotline Bling, don’t get no bing up in this new Wraith.”
Meek addresses Drake’s Tory Lane diss, rapping, “Tory from the 6, you hatin on him, Lord knows.”
