The “Left Cheek, Right Cheek” midgets spoke exclusively with Say Cheese TV to set the record straight on their meeting with up and coming rap star Lil Bibby during the annual 2014 South by Southwest music festival.
“We went to the Trae Tha Truth show at the Loft,” Right Cheek said. “We were invited by him personally. We personally don’t really know Lil Bibby. We like the Chicago artists, but we just don’t know a lot of them personally.”
Bibby’s brother, Right Cheek said, asked them to come hang out. They declined the offer, but exchanged numbers instead.
“We got in the car and [Lil BIbby] steady tryna get us to come back to his hotel room,” Right Cheek explained. “We weren’t about that. …Then he started getting mad. Like just cause I don’t want to go to the hotel with you, you don’t gotta get mad and get in your feelings and stuff.”
Right Cheek said Bibby wasn’t drunk like he claimed he was. She said Bibby was texting them with “googly eyes with the hearts and stuff.”
The women decided to put their frustration against Bibby on wax in a diss track.
“We just started rapping,” Right Cheek continued. “We put out a remix to YG’s ‘Left, Right.’ There’s something on the end of it that talked about him. It’s gon come out. We gotta make a video about it.”
“It’s not a diss, it’s a reality,” she added.
Lil Bibby spoke exclusively with WGCI’s DJ MoonDawg to talk about his mission to get the midgets to his hotel room.
“I was in Dallas. I was a little tipsy,” Bibby said. “I don’t even drink, but my homies hyped me up.
“…I was a little buzzed and the midget was like ‘Come take the picture,’” he continued. “I looked over and I’m like ‘She ain’t too bad.’ Even my little brother said the same thing. I’m looking like I’ll get some top from her. That’s about all, though.”
But it turned out to be a failed mission for the “Tired Of Talkin” rapper said.
“I was actually texting her too, though,”he continued. “She shot me down, though. She ain’t wanna come to the hotel. Then she get to texting me all in the morning. I’m ignoring her now. You ain’t wanna come last night when I was drunk. …When I woke up I was like what was I doing.”
