Popular rapper-turned-businessman 50 Cent is deciding to his talents to the world of boxing. The rapper, born Curtis Jackson, isn’t stepping inside the ring any time soon, but he wants dip his hand into boxing promotions.
Former boxing heavyweight champ Mike Tyson wishes “50 Cent the best of luck” as he embarks on his business venture, but issued the “Get Rich or Die Tryin” rapper a warning.”
“50 Cent has to know when you’re dealing with something like boxing and you’re dealing with human beings, we call it ‘peddling the flesh,’” he said, according to Entertainment Sports Radio. “Even though you’re paying them, you’re still dealing in flesh.”
“50 is a rap star, 50 is an entertainer, 50 is an entrepreneur,” he said. “He doesn’t really know the ins and outs of boxing. He probably knows what Floyd tells him, but once he gets in this arena, everyone that was ever his friend on the others is now his enemy.”
