Today marks the fifth anniversary of UGK member Pimp C’s death. New York rapper Noreaga took to Twitter to recall fond memories of the late Houston emcee.

“Pimp c always made me laugh and every time I was around pimp he always taught me something rest in peace 2 the pimp @BunBTrillOG Im here4u,” he wrote.



Noreaga recalled being in the studio with the Pimp C where they “spoke for hours.”

Pimp C, he said, “WAS SUPER INTELLIGENT N HOOD SMART RIP.”



Noreaga wrote there would never be another Pimp C and asked followers to “HOLD ON TO THOSE MERMORIES” as he does.



Interestingly, Noreaga wrote the only news outlet to follow UGK was CNN.

“I never said this b4 but the only 2man group CNN PAID ATTENTION 2 was UGK CAUSE THEY MADE REAL MUSIC N WAS REAL NI**AS #rippimpc,” he wrote.



Noreaga said he never charges artists he respects for features.

“Pimp c is da reason y I never charge any artist I respect for a feature I tried to pay him he gave me d check back WOWWHAT A GREAT#rippimpc,” he wrote.



“If u never met pimp c u missed 1 of the greats #rippimpc.”
