Shocking footage surfaced of drug addicts escaping from a drug dealer’s home after police arrived. It’s being reported community residents that at least 200 customers were at the home to buy drugs.
A similar incident occurred in June on the City’s West Side in the North Lawndale neighborhood. James Triplett, 33, was named the mastermind of the operation that netted him $250,000 per month in a $3 million a year drug operation.
Triplett is alleged to have ran the drug operation in the area for at least 10 years, DNAinfo reports. Triplett is charged with drug conspiracy and faces a minimum of 10 years in prison if convicted.
Triplett’s alleged trap house was so much of a hot spot that it had customers lined up around the corner.
A total of 42 people have been charged for supplying and distributing heroin in the area. Co-defendants face state and federal charges.
When making the arrests, police seized 12 guns, $50,000, nearly a half-kilogram of heroin and more than a half-kilogram of cocaine. They also seized two vehicles, including a 2014 Maserati and a Gran Turismo.
