A Louisiana judge ruled Tuesday, April 24 that the rap lyrics of Lil Boosie, 29, could be used in his upcoming murder trial, NBC 33 reports.
Lil Boosie, born Torrence Hatch, is facing first-degree murder charges for the 2009 murder of Terry Boyd. Boosie allegedly hired Michael Louding to carry out the murder.
Louding allegedly confessed the murder to Baton Rouge Police Department Investigator Alvin Howard, NBC33 reports. Louding allegedly told Howard he was paid $2,800 by Boosie to murder Boyd.
The prosecution plans to use lyrics from his track “187” to tie Boosie to murder.
They plan to use slang terms rapped by Boosie in the song, which includes “187,” “murk” and “cake.”
Lil Boosie’s trial is set to begin Monday, April 30.
