SD Says He Doesn’t Listen To Jay Z

The 90s have long been regarded as the golden era of Hip Hop. This era of Hip Hop saw the rise of a slew of Hip Hop artists, including, Nas, DMX, Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Wu Tang, Outkast, Scarface, Bone Thugs N Harmony and Jay Z, to name a few. The list goes on and on.

But SD, 19, came of age during the 2000s and is not too much a fan of 90s Hip Hop. The “Truly Blessed” rapper even said he never listened to Jay Z.

“You know how motherf*ckers say they listened to that old hip-hop, 1990s shit? I never listened to that shit,” he told Antenna Mag. “I was always 2000s, Eminem, 50 Cent type shit. I never listened to Jay Z and shit. A lot of people say they did. I never listened to that shit.”

SD says he has an ear for all types of music including the Rock genre.

“I used to listen to Maroon 5. I used to f*ck with them hard when I was a shorty. They used to be going crazy. Goddamn, and Justin Timberlake, those motherfuckers used to be turnt up, bro.”
But the only artist SD is listening to at the moment is himself as he preps the release of his upcoming mixtape “Truly Blessed.”

The South Side Chicago native gave fans a taste of what they can expect from the project with the lead singles “Loyalty” and the Young Chop-produced track “Complaining.”
