Snoop Dogg Reacts To Son Cordell Broadus Quitting UCLA Football Team

It’s always been Snoop Dogg’s dream for his son Cordell Broadus to play ball at the collegiate level. The younger Broadus got that opportunity when he accepted a scholarship to play wide receiver for Jim Mora’s UCLA Bruins.

But Cordell opted to forgo his football career to focus on studying film.

Snoop Dogg took to IG to post a sentimental photo of himself tying his son’s dress shoes with a caption, reading, “Lace ya boots 4 tha game of life Love u son always have always will…. Broadus Boyz.”

Head coach Jim Mora issued a statement confirming Cordell’s decision.

“Cordell informed me yesterday that he has decided to pursue other passions in his life — in particular his love of film through his company Film School Productions,” Mora said. “Cordell is an amazing young man with many talents, and we wish him nothing but the best as he continues to pursue his degree at UCLA.”

Broadus was a four-star wide receiver recruit out of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas who was rated No. 26 at his position in the class of 2015, according to SB Nation. The 6’3, 185-pound athlete chose the Bruins over his father’s favorite team USC Trojans, Sports Illustrated reports.
