Snoop Dogg’s Son Cordell Broadus Commits To UCLA, Proud Father Reacts

Cordell Broadus, the son of Hip Hop legend Snoop Dogg, has decided to continue his education and athletic journey at UCLA. Broadus, a four star wide receiver, was joined by his father on live television when he announced his decision.

“I feel that UCLA is the best fit for me,” the 6-foot-2, 192-pound receiver said during his televised announcement on ESPNU. “I had the offer since my nine-grade year, so I had a great connection with the coaches. I just want to play in front of my family and keep ballin out on the field and get a great degree.”

Broadus, who played prep football at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, caught 39 passes for 602 yards and 11 touchdowns in his senior season. His team went undefeated en route to a Nevada Division I State Championship.

According to ESPN, Broadus had offers from Arizona State, Baylor, LSU and USC.

Snoop is a self-professed fan of the USC Trojans football program. But the proud father will continue to support his son nonetheless.

“My son first one in the family to go to college proud moment for the broadus family!” he wrote in the caption of an IG pic posted after his son’s announcement

“My boy,” he added in another IG post.

Snoop documented his son’s announcement in several more IG posts.

Broadus’ mother Shante Broadus and aunt Monica Brown were just as proud.

“Baby Boy @cbroadus #UCLA #Proudmama #Support #Ontothenext #Rideordie #Bruins,” Miss Broadus captioned her IG post.

Diddy also took to IG to congratulate the young Broadus. Diddy’s son Justin Combs also plays at UCLA.

“Congratulations to @snoopdogg son @cbroadus has join @iamdiddy son @princejdc at #UCLA

“And you know this!!!!! @cbroadus #UCLA #CYN #BADBOY,” the captions on his posts read.

Broadus’ recruitment was documented in a five-part series on ESPN called “Snoop & Son: A Dad’s Dream.”
