South Carolina Cop Shoots Unarmed Man For Reaching For Wallet, Footage Reveals



Shocking footage has been released showing a South Carolina state trooper shooting a man for reaching for his wallet.

Lance Cpl. Sean Groubert, 31, stopped 35-year-old Levar Edward Jones Wednesday, Sept. 4 at a Circle K over an alleged seatbelt violation.

Jones was shot after complying with an order to present his license. It was later learned he suffered a gunshot wound to the hip.

Groubert has since been fired and arrested and charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. His charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
