Tink dug deep in her soul for her latest single “Treat Me Like Somebody,” an ode to that mystery, special someone out there, somewhere.
Tink is looking for her perfect imperfection, crooning, “Somebody real is hard to find/Somebody worth all you time/Somebody who can tell the truth /Somebody who loves you for you/Someone who knows all your flaws/I just want somebody to treat me like somebody/Somebody won’t be the everybody/all you gotta do is love me for me.”
Tink’s new single is reminiscent of neo-soul artist Lyfe Jennings’ “Will I Ever.”
Tink has proven herself as a strong lyricist, but her soulful vocals summon goose bumps in listeners. Many can rap, but only a few artists can blow.
Tink’s TMLS is her lead single to her latest mixtape “Winter’s Diary 2.” The project is slated to drop Dec. 24.
