Tink aims to be the voice of females worldwide and bring realness back to the game Timbaland’s new artist said today’s female artist lack originality during an interview with Revolt TV.
“What’s missing with the female voice is just authenticity,” she said. “Female rappers tend to try to ride another person’s wave. It’s almost like females aren’t being themselves anymore. We’re trying to be what we see on TV, magazines, the Gram. It’s no originality. The biggest part of me being original is telling my story and giving my personal experiences. Every female can relate to no matter what race you are, how old you are. I use personal experiences. …I’m the voice for everybody.”
Tink is currently working on her debut album with boss/mentor Timbaland serving as executive producer. Tink called her project a classic.
