Two men have been charged in the Auburn University shooting case for hindering the search of the accused gunman suspected of killing three people and wounding several others at a party, The Associated Press reports.
Police are searching for Desmonte Leonard, 22, and Jeremy S. Thomas, 18, both of Montgomery, Al, who are said to have fled the scene of the crime after shots were fired. Police are offering a $15,000 reward for Leonard’s capture, AP reports.
Auburn University football team experienced tragedy in the shooting as two former members of the team were killed by gunfire. Another member was seriously injured.
Former Auburn players Edward Christian and Ladarious Phillips succumbed to their injuries. Demario Pitts, 20, also died at the party.
Current Auburn player Eric Mack and Xavier Moss were treated and released from the hospital. A third victim, John Robertson, was shot in the head and remains in critical condition at the hospital.
