Wale is hinting retirement from the music industry. In an IG post that has since been deleted, Wale rants about his experience in the music industry:
“Tired. I’m tired. I tried this music industry will take our sould then make you want [to] leave…. n****s don’t respect humble n****s don’t respect intelligence … they’ll say it never happened.. let me air out some ppl it’ll make headlines .. let me uplift some people it’ll get buried quicker than u can say ‘leanmollyxan’ .. they’ll kill you and then worship you when you gone..”
It’s anyone’s guess what this means for Wale’s upcoming “Shine” LP.
Wale spoke on the project during an interview with Revolt in August.
“It ain’t necessarily a book this time,” he said. “It’s more so a bunch of emotions that you gonna feel. I’m just trying to paint pictures. It ain’t too overly thought of this time, it’s still good music.
