MTV2 recently linked with Young M.A to get her take on the hottest rappers of 2016. Besides naming herself and Drake, she says G Herbo is her favorite rapper.
“I like G Herbo,” M.A said. “He a rapper from Chicago. I like paying attention people not everybody on so much. I feel like he’s one of the people that’s dope.”
For Herb, the feeling’s mutual.
Herb first learned of M.A in December 2015 when Hot 97 hosts asked him his thoughts on the Brooklyn rapper’s “Chiraq” remix.
“The lyrics hard,” Herb said. “…That sh*t hard.”
Herb praised the “Ooouuu” rapper on his IG page in late August.
His caption read, “@hennynhoes GOT IT LOCKED RIGHT NOW! #HarderDenALOTTTTAA You n****s #summerstory my favorite sh*t!!! S/O my n***a @onpointlikeop for putting me on blood.”
In September, Herb requested a feature on M.A’s biggest summer record, “Ooouuu.”
Herb wrote, “@YoungMAMusic Ooooouuuu Let me jump on the REMIX!”
