Young Thug has recorded a slew of hit songs that include “Danny Glover” and “Stoner.”
Those singles surprisingly didn’t take Thug long to write as revealed during an interview with Dazed Magazine.
Thug, who appeared on the cover of the mag’s August Edition wearing a dress, spoke on his creative process when writing songs.
“I think as I go,” Thug said. “I can’t remember 16 bars. Unless you write it, you can’t. I just do it bar for bar. I did a song in eight minutes. I thought everybody could write songs that fast. But working with a lot of them, they don’t.
Thug went on to say he can write a perfect song quicker than Lil Wayne and Drake.
“Wayne and Drake, it takes them so long to do a song,” he continued. “I understand why, because they want it to be perfect. But I think I can do a perfect song in ten minutes. I did ‘Danny Glover’ in eight minutes. ‘Stoner’ took me almost an hour.”
