An ex-Rutgers student was released today from jail after serving only 20 days of a 30-day sentence, the Associated Press reports.
Dharun Ravi, 20, left Middlesex County jail after he was sentenced for using a webcam to spy on his 18-year-old roommate Tyler Clemente kissing another man.
Clemente committed suicide by jumping off the George Washington Bridge after learning of Ravi’s actions.
Ravi received ten-days credit for good behavior in jail. Ravi still faces three years of probation, more than $11,000 in fines and assessments, 300 hours of community service and counseling, AP reports.
