Lil Jay’s Murder Charges Dropped To Reckless Discharge Of Firearm?

Lil Jay may have gotten good news in his case. The charges in the “Clout Lord” rapper’s inmate report have been updated to 720 ILCS 24/1.5(a)- reckless discharge of a firearm. This charge, according to the Illinois General Assembly, is a person who commits reckless discharge of a firearm by discharging a firearm in a reckless manner, which endangers the bodily safety of an individual.

Lil Jay was charged with murder in May. The FBG Clout Boy is being held without bail after his associate, Filmon N. Rezene, 25, died from injuries sustained in a shootout, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Lil Jay, 22, was charged in Rezene’s death along with Rakeem ‘Butta’ Wilton, 20; Roshinda Young, 22; Monique Lane-Calhoun, 25; and Brittany Dupree, 20.

Rezene appeared in Jay’s “Faneto (GMix)” music video.

Rezene was shot in self-defense following an argument with a 22-year-old man in Calumet City. Lil Jay, Rezene and the group allegedly went to purchase marijuana from the 22-year-old man, but an argument ultimately erupted. The group left and returned with a firearm provided by Rezene’s girlfriend Young.

The 22-year-old was shot four times but was also armed and fired back at Rezene, who was struck “several” times, prosecutors told the Sun-Times.

Lil Jay, Young, Lane-Calhoun and Butta were arrested at the scene after police spoke with the 22-year-old victim and witnesses. Police later arrested Dupree after spotting her leaving Lil Jay’s apartment with a bag of handguns, including two used in the shooting.

Rezene died May 15 from his injuries in Stroger Hospital.

Lil Jay has long expressed confidence that him and Butta would be exonerated of all charges.

“I’m finna be back down,” Jay said in a recorded phone call. “Me and Butta finna be back down in no time.”

A photo of Lil Jay surfaced onto IG of himself good health in a jail suit during visitation in Cook County.

Butta may have giving them insite on lil jays enrolment in the case. When you explain a story on what happens the feds write down what is being said. Butta talking may of been the reason the murder charge got dropped to reckless use of a firearm. Snitching is when a crime is committed and you give up the names of people involved to save your self. In this case over a small amount of weed was stupid and the only person who is a snitch is the guy who got shot and survived cause he was never charged with a crime.
