Lil Wayne is so dedicated to this music ish. Tunechi announced during an interview with Hypetrak that “Dedication 6” is “coming soon.”
“I’m working currently working on it as we speak,” he said. “I’m going to find some time to get with DJ Drama when it’s right and then give it to the world!”
This project will hopefully keep fans occupied until the release of “Tha Carter V.” Weezy is allegedly holding the physical recording of the project until his million-dollar lawsuit with Birdman is resolved.
The Young Money general filed a $51 million lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money in 2015, claiming the label withheld money to the unreleased album.
Lil Wayne recently sparked rumors of retirement after taking to Twitter to say he was “defenseless” and “mentally defeated.”
Weezy cleared up those retirement rumors and spoke on his issues with Birdman during an appearance on Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe’s Undisputed show on Fox Sports.
Wayne revealed he posted his tweets following an argument.
“I have a family, I have kids, I have a mother and we’ve got bills,” Wayne said. “And this is business. Once the business is right, then everything is right. So I did feel that way, and I didn’t take the tweet down because I still feel that way, and until something is done about it, then maybe it’ll change.”
Sharpe asked Weezy if he would continue working with Birdman after their legal matters were resolved, and Tunechi replied, “No sir.”
“Give me mine, and I’ll walk off free,” he said.
Wayne spoke on his dilemma with Birdman in his new Gudda Gudda-assisted record “Grateful,” a StreetRunner and Rugah Rah production. The track is available on Tidal here.
