A North Carolina pagan mother is outraged her fifth-grade son brought home a Bible, according to The New York Daily News.
“It’s totally inappropriate they think they can get away with this,” said Strivelli to the Asheville Citizen-Times. “It’s absolutely unbelievable, and their attitude is ridiculous.”
The Daily News reports school spokeswoman Jan Blunt said students were not told or even encouraged to take the Bibles.
A local branch of Gideons International provides North Windy Ridge intermediate school the free Bibles. They are available in the main office for interested students.
