Kendrick Lamar set Hip Hop, Country Music, Rock N Roll, Politics, Barbershops, schools, social media and everything else that was not mention ablaze Tuesday after taking aim at rival rappers in Big Sean’s latest track “Control.”
In Ironic fashion, K Dot even ethers Big Sean on the track.
But Big Sean wasn’t the Compton rapper’s only victim. In one verse, K Dot spares Jay Z, Nas, Eminem and Andre 300; but destroys a slew of rappers, including J. Cole, Big Krit, Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electronica, Tyler The Creator and Mac Miller.
In “Control,” Kendrick Lamar raps:
“I heard the barbershops be in great debates all the time/Who’s the best MC? Kendrick, Jigga and Nas/Eminem, Andre 3000, the rest of yall/New niggas just new niggas, don’t get involved/And i ain’t rockin no more designer shit/White T’s and Nike Cortez, this is red corvettes annonymous/Im usually homeboys with the same niggas im rhymin wit/But this is hip hop and them niggas should know what time it is/And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big KRIT, Wale/Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake/Big Sean, Jay electron’, Tyler, Mac Miller/I got love for you all but I’m tryna murder you niggas/Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you niggas/They dont wanna hear not one more noun or verb from u niggas/What is competition? I’m tryna raise the bar high.”
Not all rappers Kendrick name dropped took his diss lightly.
Pusha T directed a subtle message at the Good Kid.
“I hear u loud and clear my nigga… @kendricklamar,” he wrote.
There may be a couple of diss tracks in preparation against Kendrick Lamar right now.
But it highly unlikely any rapper can go toe to toe with Kendrick right now.
