R&B Singer Houston Arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Drugs






R&B singer Houston was arrested in Los Angeles last Wednesday after he was pulled over by police for driving erratically, TMZ reports.


Police reportedly smelled marijuana when they approached the troubled singer. He was then placed under arrest on suspicion of DUI. Houston was released from jail Thursday.


Signed to Capitol Records, Houston had a brief stint in the music industry that included the 2004 R&B hit “I Like That.” The singer went through an emotional breakdown in 2005 and gouged his left eye out with a plastic spoon.
