Rumors surrounding a well-orchestrated prison break by a popular Jamaican dancehall artist are false, sources say. Rumors spread through the Internet that Vybz Kartel, legal name Adidja Palmer, held New Horizon Remand Centre prison guards at gun point and broke free.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Les Green told the Jamaica Observer the rumors are false. “I know nothing about that,” he said. “If that had taken place I would certainly have known.”
The “Beyonce Wine” star is being held in prison on a murder charge. He is currently being investigated for up to seven murders.
