Hazing Suspect Jason Anderson
Members of a Youngstown University chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. have been indicted Thursday on charges of hazing, The Associated Press reports. Nine members allegedly beat two pledges in a hazing ritual that sent them to the hospital.
The suspects were indicted Thursday by a Mahoning County grand jury on two counts each of felonious assault. They each reportedly posted bail.
The suspects listed in the hazing case includes Michael Charles, 28, Jason Anderson, 27, Jairus Ford, 32, Jerome Justice, 28, Lavell Sharp, 25, Trey McCune, 21, Wade Hampton, 24, Edward Robertson, 28, and Raheem Satterthwaite, 22.
Victim Breylon Stubbs, 22, told a judge he and Resean Yancey, 20, were beaten with fists, a paddle and a wire clothes hanger, AP reports.
The university chapter suspended the chapter for 15, AP reports. The school’s Student Judicial Board also imposed a 10-year probation period after the suspension.
