“datniggytb” is in the url

George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watchman who shot and killed an unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, was recently charged with second-degree murder. He plead not guilty to the charges Thursday.

New information into the background of Zimmerman has come to light. The Daily Caller has learned Zimmerman owned a Myspace account and his username was “datniggytb.”

“Niggy” appears to be a form of the “N-word.” The Daily Caller spoke with an unidentified family member who said it was friendly term and not a racial slur.

The username reportedly is a “nickname his black friends gave him,” the family member told The Daily Caller.

“TB” stands for “tugboat,” the family member said, because he used to be “so big.”

When the Myspace page was discovered, the Zimmerman family initially denied it belonged to him.
