A fight turned deadly Sunday night after 13-year-old Anthony Diaz was gunned down while recording a fight between his sisters and another group of girls, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Diaz’s sister Jennifer Sosa told ABC 7 Chicago the fight started because the other group dissed her gang on Facebook.
“She was dissing our gang. We came, we fought. They just got out of hand. They jumped all of us and they ended up shooting my brother,” she said.
Diaz was reportedly shot seven or eight times. He died later in the hospital.
Diaz’s mother Laura de Domenico admits to her daughter being in a gang.
“I’m against violence. I’m a hard-working mom, and I don’t know where she gets this from but that’s her hobby: running away, and fights,” de Domenico told CBS Chicago. “She always had this problem with fighting. I always tell her not to take him, because he’s not streetwise at all.”
Police have no one in custody for the shooting.
