Boosie Says Violence Against Police Will Continue If Bad Cops Aren’t Convicted

Three Baton Rouge police officers were killed and three others wounded Sunday in retaliation to the fatal shooting of Alton Sterling.

The suspect, who has been identified as Gavin Long, was shot and killed.

Boosie doesn’t believe the violence will cease unless police officers are convicted in unjust shootings.

“I don’t think it’s going to stop until they really start convicting officers of doing what they do,” Boosie told TMZ. “If they don’t start convicting these officers of what they’re doing, it’s just gonna keep on escalating, it’s just gonna keep on escalating. And you know, if that guy don’t get indicted and sent to prison, for life, it’s gonna be another war, it’s gonna be another shooting. Because you know, if people feel they’re not being protected by the police, and the police are trying to kill them, man it’s going to get worse,” he went on record as saying. “We’ve been going through a lot of stuff in Baton Rouge for so long, and this was their time to, I guess like express their madness, express their self. They’re mad man. But I just tell everybody calm down and lets just, try to find a better way. I don’t know the better way, but I’ll just say calm down and try to find a better way.”

Boosie’s thoughts are no different than his last interview with TMZ.

“It’s messed up what’s going on,” Boosie said. “I been talking about what’s going on with police in Baton Rouge for a long time. Now people get to see it with their own eyes all the injustice going on in that city. I ain’t into cops being killed, but like cops getting away with murder, it’s like they in their prime right now. I think it’s like the prime of all that stuff right now. Right now, I don’t think it’s gonna get better at all.”

He continued, “Really, there will never be peace. It’ll never be peace because you got too many lives that have been taken. All you can try to do is diffuse the situation. … Martin Luther King nem, they tried to diffuse the situation, bring peace, try to calm it down. It eventually calmed down. It toned down a little bit, but police killing people again. It’s just facts of life.”

Boosie is so fearful his children will get gunned down that he doesn’t allow them to have toy guns.

“My kids not even allowed to have pop guns,” he said.

Boosie offered his solution to the country bettering relations between black and thr police.

“I think what would slow the cops down from doing what they doing is they start getting convicted, getting life sentences, double life sentences like we get if we kill somebody,” he said.
