Chicago Artist Spenzo Slams XXL Magazine, Says Chicago Needs To Stand As One

Chicago is burning. Burning mad.

XXL Magazine released their highly coveted “2013 Freshman” List, which touts Hip Hop’s highly influential up and coming emcees.

The Windy City has made a lot of noise in the Hip Hop arena. But the city that brought the world the “drill” sound hardly received any recognition in XXL Mag’s latest edition.

Chief Keef was listed in the “number 11” spot, but that appeared to be an honorable mention. Chief Keef was not present during the photo shoot, but his picture was added to cover.

Chicago emcee Spenzo slammed the Hip Hop magazine for snubbing artists from his hometown.

“And They Didn’t Even Put @ChiefKeef name in the Credits Just A Picture Wow That’s’s Not Even Right..

“#Chitown We Gotta All Stand Together As 1 At some Point This Shxt Is Not Right We Were The Hottest City Year By Far, and That’s A Fact

“If We Don’t STAND 4 SOMETHING We’ll FALL For ANYTHING.!!

Fellow Chi-Town rapper King Louie was also displeased with the magazine.

The “My Niggaz” rapper took to Twitter to blast XXL Magazine for excluding him on their list.

“On L’$ I knew I wasn’t gone make dat XXL Freshmen list #Fuckem

“It’s like da Rap Game scared of me,” he wrote.

Do you think Chicago should have been more represented on the list? Sound of below
