Chicago Fly Boy Gang Rapper, Young Melo, Wounded In Shooting



A rising Chicago teen rapper is in stable condition following a July 26 shooting.

Fly Boy Gang rapper Young Melo, 17, was wounded after he was shot in the back by an unknown assailant in the 6300 block of South Rhodes Avenue in the West Woodlawn neighborhood, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Young was reportedly walking with friends on a sidewalk when “he heard shots and felt pain,” according to a police report obtained by the Tribune.

Young’s friend KitaGoDumb|DukeDay @Kita_CashdOut commented via Twitter that the “Well Damn” rapper “is doing well.”

“Young is doing well,” she wrote. “He is in stable Condition with a gunshot wound to his back. Let keep him and his family In your prayers.”



Instagram user slam_cam_josh063 posted a photo of Young recovering in the hospital.

“Jus came 4rm Seeing Broski #GWS @younggodumb,” the caption on the photo read.



Young thanked supporters via Twitter.

“FUCK #MOB SUCK A DICK

“S/O TO EVERYBODY WHO TOLD ME #GETWELLSOON

“DEY DNT MAKE EM LIKE ME NOMO FR #REALNIGGAENT,” he wrote.



But above all, Melo thanked the Man upstairs.

“S/O TO GOD IM BLESSED,” he wrote.
