Chicago Man Shot Baby Jonlyah Watkins and Father Over Theft of Video Game System

Prosecutors described to a judge in a Chicago courtroom how suspect Koman Willis targeted victims Jonathan Watkins, 29, and his 6-month-old daughter after suspecting the elder Watkins of being responsible for the burglary of his mother’s home.

A video game system was stolen during the burglary, CBS News reports

Assistant State Attorney Heather Kent said Willis “told others that he would shoot the people responsible for the burglary of his mother’s home,” the Chicago Tribune reports.

Willis, 33, is the alleged culprit behind the murder of baby Watkins after firing multiple shots at her father as she was getting her diaper changed on March 11.

Willis has been charged with first-degree murder and aggravated battery charges in the murder.
