Aspiring Chiraq artist Bang Da Hitta, born Keith Hayer, was arrested during a traffic stop on Feb. 9 after allegedly swallowing a rock of crack, according DNAinfo.com. Bang was reportedly charged with a felony count of resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance. He was ordered held on $30,000 bail in Cook County court.
Bang was charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm in 2010, according to court records obtained by DNAinfo. Bang told DNAinfo he spent two years in jail awaiting trial before he was found not guilty and released on Dec. 5, 2012.
Bang reportedly said he was “framed” and “didn’t shoot anybody” and blamed corrupt cops for keeping him locked up.
Bang has kept himself busy on the underground rap scene releasing songs “Hot N*gga Freestyle,” “PBG Music” featuring Mosey, “The Wait Is Over,” “In Da Lz,” “In Da Field” and more.
