A Chiraq man that was a “person of interest” in an August homicide investigation was arrested Tuesday on the City’s West Side after leading police on a massive manhunt, ABC 7 Chicago reports.
The suspect, driving a black jeep, led police on a high-speed chase that lasted 30 minutes, according to NBC Chicago. He stopped his vehicle in the 200 block of North Central Avenue in the South Austin neighborhood and tried to flee police on foot, but was arrested at a nearby apartment building. A firearm was recovered from the man’s vehicle.
A witness on the scene said the chaos the suspect caused was comparable to seven stars on Grand Theft Auto.”
