Def Jam Rapper Lil’ Reese Reveals Cover Art for ‘Supa Savage’ Mixtape

Lil’ Reese took a brief hiatus following repeated controversial events that led to rumors of his disaffiliation with record label Def Jam.

But Reese, whose birth name is Tavares Taylor, is back on the music scene prepping the release of his upcoming mixtape “Supa Savage.”

Reese gave fans a taste of the project with the visual release of his latest single “Wassup,” featuring Fredo Santana and Lil’ Durk.

Reese caught media attention after it was rumored that he was involved in the shooting death of rival Chicago rapper Lil’ JoJo.

Lil’ Reese and Lil’ JoJo exchanged words in person and via social media before the tragic murder took place.

Lil’ JoJo posted a video to YouTube of himself and friends pulling up to Reese in a car and confronting the “Traffic” rapper.

Before JoJo sped away, Reese can be heard, yelling, “I’ma kill you. I’ma kill you.”

Lil’ Reese once again made news after a video surfaced online of himself beating a woman after he and friends gained entry into her residence.

He was charged with criminal trespass, mob actions and battery, according to Champaign County court records obtained by the Chicago Sun-Times.

“Supa Savage” is slated to drop Aug. 20.
