El Chapo is accused of paying $100 million bribe to former Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto.
El Chapo’s former personal aide, Alex Cifuentes, made this revelation when he took the stand Tuesday. Cifuentes, a Columbian trafficker, previously served as El Chapo’s secretary and close personal aide.
A source close to Pena Nieto denied the allegations.
