The Fader recently caught up with Famous Dex in Manhattan, New York and got a chance to get a taste of the energy the South Side Chicago native brings to the music scene.

Dex first opened up on the energy he brings to music in the opening of Famous Dex’s Laka Films-directed “Energy” music video, saying he is bringing fun, excitement and energy back to the genre.

Dex compared himself to the Energizer Bunny during his Fader interview.

“I’m like the Energizer guy,” Dex explained. “I got motherf*cking batteries inside me.

“If you had a bad day at work and you put my music on in your car, you gon’ dance and you gon’ shake your head to it,” Dex continued. “You gon’ have fun with it.”
