Tensions flared in Ferguson over the last few days as calls for the arrest of Darren Wilson continued.
Protestors were involved in a standoff with the Ferguson police department that included Capt. Ron Johnson.
“They using you, sir. They using you,” a protestor told Johnson.
“I’m gonna ask you to leave and I’m only gonna ask you one time,” Johnson responded to the crowd.
Gov. Jay Nixon appointed Capt. Ronald Johnson of the Missouri State Highway Patrol to handle security operations in Ferguson. This decision came amid racial upheaval over the fatal police shooting of unarmed college bound teen Mike Brown.
But the appointment of Johnson, who happens to be African American, did little to silence the cries of justice from Ferguson’s largely black community.
Weeks continue to pass as the nation awaits a grand jury’s decision on Wilson’s fate. Jurors have until early January to make a decision, but St. Louis Count Prosecutor Bob McCulloch told the Washington Post a decision could be reached in November.
